About
Meet Kimberly
Kimberly Gordon brings a distinctive combination of legal experience, litigation background, executive leadership, and a deep commitment to helping people navigate important and often challenging moments in their lives. As Chief Executive Officer of Happy Even After, Kimberly is focused on building on the firm’s strong foundation while ensuring that its commitment to compassionate, effective, and client-centered legal representation remains at the heart of everything it does.
Throughout her career, Kimberly has worked at the intersection of law, business, and advocacy. She has represented individuals, advised businesses, managed complex legal matters, and led teams through challenging legal and operational issues. These experiences have shaped her belief that excellent legal service requires more than knowledge of the law. It requires listening carefully, understanding each client’s circumstances, communicating clearly, and helping people make informed decisions about their future.
Before joining Happy Even After, Kimberly held senior legal and leadership positions at technology and financial services companies. Her work has involved complex litigation, regulatory and compliance matters, business transactions, employment issues, risk management, and strategic decision-making. In these roles, she developed a practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal problem-solving and a strong appreciation for the importance of responsive, accountable client service.
Kimberly’s litigation experience began earlier in her legal career and includes work in both government and private practice. At the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, she worked alongside Assistant United States Attorneys on federal investigations and prosecutions involving public corruption, financial fraud, economic crimes, and other complex matters. Her experience included investigative strategy, grand jury proceedings, witness questioning, trial preparation, and trial proceedings. She received the Excellence in Justice Award from the United States Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice in 2017.
Kimberly also served as a Senior Managing Attorney at Citizens Disability, where she handled disability-related legal matters and litigation. Her work included preparing and presenting cases in administrative proceedings, drafting appellate briefs, and working on disability and employment-related matters involving federal court proceedings. She has experience with matters before magistrate and district court judges and with appellate litigation. In addition to her legal practice, Kimberly has published articles on disability law, reflecting her interest in making complex legal issues more understandable and accessible to the people affected by them.
Although her legal career has spanned several areas of practice, Kimberly’s work has consistently centered on advocacy, problem-solving, and helping people navigate consequential decisions. She brings that same perspective to Happy Even After, recognizing that family law matters are deeply personal and that clients deserve not only capable legal representation, but also respect, clear communication, and an understanding of the circumstances behind each case.
Beyond her professional work, Kimberly has a longstanding commitment to community service, mentorship, and the arts. She founded and led a nonprofit organization focused on dance and youth development and has been involved in nonprofit leadership and community initiatives. Her background as a dancer and educator have also reinforced the value of discipline, creativity, collaboration, and helping others reach their potential.
Kimberly earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a Master of Global Business Administration from Suffolk University. She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
